Dayspring Baptist Church Ministries

These ministries are available to you in that they will allow you to live out and develop your Christian growth. Please review these opportunities and know that you are welcome to become an active disciple in any of these ministries. Ministry of Christian Education: The Sunday Church School Department is the core of the Dayspring Baptist Church Education program. It is a graded structure of classes ranging from Preschool to Adult. The foundation for your biblical learning, these classes are structured to teach the Bible in simplistic and practical ways which make it easy to follow, understand and ask questions. In addition to classes, the Sunday School sponsors numerous other events and functions. Workshops, Vacation Bible School, Open House and field trips to historical sites are some of the activities that are planned for our Church School department. We extend a hearty welcome to you to participate and become a committed disciple of this ministry.

Youth Ministry: The Youth Ministry seeks to nurture our youth spiritually and socially through outreach and fun activities. The Youth Ministry strives to educate and enlighten the youth (from the ages of 13-19 years old) of the Dayspring Baptist Church community through Biblical principles that can be applied in their daily lives. The format of the Wednesday night Bible class has become a melting pot for social ideas as presented through Biblical principles. The goal of this ministry is to enlighten the youth through the use of basic Bible themes that will lead to their spiritual growth.

Children’s Ministry: To see each child nurtured and trained in the ways of God in an encouraging environment that will enable every child to reach their fullest potential. The desire is to see that children do not just know about God, but experience the reality of having a personal relationship with the Heavenly Father who created them and loves them. Specific areas of the children’s ministry include:
• The Dayspring Children’s Church. (Children’s church is available every Sunday except the
• 1st Sunday.)
• The Dayspring Children’s Step Team.
• The Dayspring Children’s Liturgical Dance Team.

Music Ministry: To establish a music ministry that is sound in the Word of God and skilled in their talents. A ministry that is able to flow in the move of God under his mighty anointing, leading souls into praise through song. This ministry does not have an individual focus but a focus toward Jesus Christ and the building of his kingdom.

Christian Women Fellowship: The Christian Women Fellowship seeks to meet and fellowship with the sisters of Dayspring to help uplift, inspire, love and motivate one another. This fellowship is comprised of women of all ages. We strive to provide events that will help strengthen our knowledge, physical well being and spiritual growth. Sharing ideas, working on committees and co-sponsoring events with other ministries provides the vehicle needed to expand relationships within our Christian community.

Christian Men Fellowship: It is the purpose of this ministry to seek and stimulate men and boys to become more committed to the study of God’s Word, and allow that which we learn to become a part of our daily lives. Outreach and social activities are also an integral part of this ministry.

New Members Ministry: The New Members Ministry is charged with helping those who become a part of the community of faith by baptism, Christian Experience, or letter of transition into the membership. This ministry is a sounding board for new members as they become acclimated to the Dayspring Baptist Church. This ministry also serves as a mentor for new members for a period of six months.

Ushers Ministry: The Ushers Ministry’s (youth, women and men) purpose is to exemplify a Christ-like attitude as we perform the responsibilities of greeting, aiding and assisting those that worship within our fellowship.

Senior Citizens Ministry: The Senior Citizens ministry is a ministry of “support” for the seniors of Dayspring and the surrounding community. For those who have given faithful service to the Christian community of God. The Senior Citizens ministry is dedicated to providing seniors with opportunities for fellowship among their peers.
